Its December, people! Christmas and New Years Day are approaching super fast and so is the winter season. It’s going to get colder and we are all going to require more layers to keep warm. We need products that will endure the harsh cold on our skin and keep us hydrated when the cold is drying us out. My favorite season is, hands down Summer but before the Winter rolls in, I thought I would give you a few of my Fall favorites. Although I’m partial to the warmer seasons, no one can deny the greatness of Fall trends.
I love a good flat shoe! They are so versatile and very comfortable. Flats come in many colors and designs to pair them with jeans, dresses or skirts! I bought a pair in army green and they have been a staple in my wardrobe. The color goes with many more things than I thought as it can be used to replace a nude. I love it
Fall always brings signature colors. This season, plum and burgundy made a true statement and I was here for it. Its vibrant enough to stand out but low key enough for the season. Perfect color for a bag and a shoe. It makes them accessories and key points to any outfit.
Oversized Cardigan Sweaters
I love the ability to make an article of clothing more of an accessory. It makes the outfit interesting and centered around one thing that makes it stand out even more. Oversized cardigans are a great way to do that. I love the ones that are open in the front and long in the back. You can pair it with a short Summer dress to convert it to Fall or a strappy tank top to keep warm. I have a new favorite that I got on sale at Forever21.com for Under $12. You can’t beat that!
Earth Tones Scream Fall. Nature is changing and turning colors and everything is dying out to be created new in the coming seasons. Brown goes so well with all of this. I love brown shadow that has a bit of gold shimmer because it compliments my brown skin and gives a bit of subtle glam to the lid. It’s my go to shade for a low key but stand out sort of look. I also love to use it as a crease and transition color. Great for a soft smokey eye!
This fall is the first time I actually tried ripped denim. I always thought they were a great way to wear jeans but never quite found ones that fit me that well. Well, Thank God for Ross because I found ones that fit well and was also in my budget! I have put these jeans with so many outfits and they always go perfectly and make me feel confident in what I’m wearing. I hope Ross gets more because I need another pair.
Story Time! Ok, so I walked into Charlotte Russe with my girlfriends and spotted these shoes on the sales table. They caught my eye so quick and I was just drawn. I walked straight to them and picked them up. Not only were they my size but they were the last pair and on sale for $14.99. Talk about meant to be!! These shoes were there just for me and I won’t believe anything else. Ever since, they’ve been a staple in my wardrobe. Honestly, I want some wear out of these babies before winter comes. Frost Bite is real and I want no parts. Maybe they can reappear for spring!
Coffee is amazing but I’m also a tea drinker. I love it. Anything that keeps me warm and toasty is my friend. Peppermint Tea is refreshing and has a soothing factor that I love to have before bed. It’s great for those crisp, cool nights and having something, besides wine, to drink while watching your favorite Fall lineup.
Accessories are a necessity. Style depends on it. It’s about expressing yourself and accessories are the finishing touch. Gold is King in Fall. As the leaves are turning, orange, yellow, and green, the gold will compliment those colors very well. No discrimination, but I feel that Gold looks divine on brown skin, especially. It adds to my confidence about what I am wearing whenever I add it because I know I feel good in it. The key to style and beauty is to feel comfortable with it and you have to go with what feels right to you!
Skin care is extremely important to me. I feel healthiest when I see that my skin looks clear and hydrated. I feel like I’m living life right. (LOL) I have developed a serious love for masks and I fell for this Yes To Coconut Hydrate and Restore Mask. My skin tends to be oily but when it gets colder, my sensitivity takes over. My skin dries out and becomes rigid. This mask has a great smell and makes the skin feel great and its $3 at Walmart. Ya’ll know I love a sale on anything. I’m always on a budget!
I’m sad to see Fall go but I look forward to what winter brings. Let me know what you guys enjoyed this fall. Leave me a comment
