Have you ever woken up and said “I want to look my absolute worst today?” No? Didn’t think so. There’s not one person, in their right mind, that wants to look bad at all times. When you look good you feel good and that goes for all situations, occasions and weather. Summer is basically here and we all want to keep our great fashion sense and fresh faces. If we’re going to drop the sweaters and layers, we should probably do the same with makeup.
Warmer weather brings heat and heat brings perspiration and the last thing any girl wants is to have her full face of makeup melting over the potato salad at the BBQ. Here’s a few ways to keep your fabulous face made while keeping cool.
Spot Treating– Spot treating is a great way to even out your skin tone without putting tons of foundation in place to make you look covered. The best thing to do is take a cream concealer closest to your skin tone and dab it over those dark spots and blemishes. Continue to dab until it’s blended. Doing this will make your face look fresh, even and light weight.
Tinted Moisturizer– it’s a given that warmer weather makes you sweat. Sweat can make your makeup runny. No one wants a runny face. In the heat, less is more. Tinted moisturizer helps you get the coverage without the heaviness. Moisturizers are normally light weight and with the tinting, you’re still covered.
Bonus: If your foundation is running low you can use your last bit combined with your favorite moisturizer to make your own.
Creamy Eye Shadows and Blush– Powder and Water don’t mix! You’ll be a cakey clumpy mess. Creamy eye shadows and blush give you the color and versatility without the mess
Liquid liner– Although it may take a tutorial or two to master, liquid liners are the best for warm wether. Once they’re on, they stay put and last very long. Waterproof is the absolute best.
Water Proof Mascara– Speaking of waterproof, you can’t forget about the eyes. Waterproof mascara will protect you from those water balloon fights, a random pool dunking or that beautiful love filled wedding.
Translucent Powder– Whenever you do your makeup, you absolutely want it to last. Translucent powder helps to set your makeup for the day without piling on any heaviness. Also, it helps to reduce shine in your T zone. My oily ladies know exactly what I mean.
Bonus: Also, oil blotting papers help to reduce shine if you don’t want to pack on more powder.
Be your most beautiful self this summer. With and Without makeup!
